Ideta Tennis and Piko-Ball (the shop’s actual branding plays on the Hawaiian word piko) is a family-run tennis and pickleball pro shop in Hilo, run by USPTA-certified coach Ryan Ideta, a former LSU scholarship player and pro-circuit competitor, and his wife Nikki, a former UH-Hilo collegiate player. The shop is an authorized dealer for Yonex, Dunlop, Head, Solinco, and Selkirk, stocking tennis and pickleball paddles, balls, shoes, apparel, grips, strings, bags, and accessories, plus 24-hour restringing service. Ryan and Nikki both offer private and group lessons for all ages and abilities, including weekday adult group sessions. The shop bills itself as More Than Just Tennis.
