Sportable is a Richmond, Virginia adaptive sports club running a full pickleball pathway for athletes with physical disabilities. Its programs span beginner instruction covering court mobility, strokes, rules, and scoring, an intermediate program for 2.5 plus players, and advanced tournament level play for 3.0 plus athletes, with participants playing standing or in a sports wheelchair. Beginner sessions are open to members ten and older, adult programs run 18 and up, and wheelchair players in upper levels bring their own sports chairs. Example player conditions listed include spina bifida, spinal cord injuries, lower limb amputation, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis.
